為保持您的認證有效，您必須通過新的考試。3Com認證的有效期是1年，從通過最終考試之日起計算。為了保持您的認證有效，您必須在失效日期之前通過最新的認證考試。3Com將會在該日期之前通知您需要的認證更新。
截至到2001年10月30日，曾通過Master of Network Science的個人會自動獲得3Com認證解決方案專家認證。截至到2001年9月1日，曾通過3Star Certification的個人會自動獲得3Com認證解決方案學士認證。
3Com保留在不事先通知的情況下修改或終止認證程序規則、術語、條款和利益的權利。完全基於3Com獨立判斷，3Com可以拒絕授予被認為違反了這些規則的任何參加者認證獎品或取銷其認證資格。所有因為參加3Com認證程序而導致的稅項完全由參加者個人承擔。參加者可以並且只能產生壹個用戶帳號。3Com保留終止那些具有多個帳號的同壹參加者的權利。
